Let’s Party for Africa!

multicultural books for children

We're all a-twitter about multicultural books!

Do you like culture, travel and books? Then come join me and my pals at Hartlyn Kids for a “Passport to Africa Twitter Party” on January 31 to help raise funds for a new children’s book about a country in Africa!

Christine and Aisha, the smart women behind this indie publisher, believe that every person should have the opportunity to tell her story in her own words. Hartlyn Kids partners with writers and illustrators abroad to create diverse, culturally sensitive stories for young readers worldwide. Now, that’s something to celebrate!

Join us for lively discussion about Africa and excellent prizes during this LIVE event on Twitter! We’ll be talking multicultural life, travel and more, all while raising money for a great new project from Hartlyn Kids! See you there!

I am so bummed out that I missed this – I LOVE this book idea. My niece Sofia and I are working on something related to this – a book for kids about traveling in Turkey – and being open to exploring new cultures….I put our blogsite here so you can get a taste. I love the idea of kids telling their own stories in their own voices. Right on!
